FAQs

We know you have questions! Is the gel pad the same in both glove styles?

Yes, the contoured silicone gel pad is the same in both glove styles. The New Half Finger glove, our second version of Wrist Assured™ Gloves, is an upgrade of our Original Fingerless style.

What are the differences between the Original Fingerless and New Half Finger styles?

The New Half Finger style has individual finger openings to enhance fit and comfort. We’ve added a Cambrelle® inner palm liner to absorb sweat and odor and we’ve improved the non skid palm with a silicone dotted ultra suede micro fiber, for non-slip superior grip. The New Half Finger style is an upgrade -- more versatile & comfortable.

I’m still not sure which style to purchase. My workout consists of push-ups, Pilates mat and Pilates apparatus. Wouldn’t the Original Fingerless style be okay?

You’ll be happier with the New Half Finger style and here’s why. On the Pilates apparatus there are several exercises where your hands are reaching forward in front of your shoulders, such as the long stretch series. In yoga this occurs with the downward facing dog pose. These forward reaching positions increase the pressure in the finger web spaces. The New Half Finger style is more comfortable with its’ individual fingers and stretch fabric that gives in the web space between the fingers. You’ll also have the additional benefits mentioned above in Q2.

Why are Original Fingerless gloves not recommended for yoga or Pilates apparatus?

The Original Fingerless glove is recommended only for those exercises that the shoulder, elbow and wrist are all stacked on top each other in alignment, such as push-ups or a Pilates mat workout. In both yoga and Pilates apparatus there are positions where the hands are forward in front of the shoulders and in these positions the ultra-suede finger tabs press into the finger web space. If you will be using Wrist Assured™ Gloves only for Pilates mat, then the Original Fingerless style will serve you well! See Q3 above for more information.

On the size chart my hand falls on the line between size small and size medium, which size should I order?

While fit is often a personal choice, you’ll get the best results when the gloves fit snug. In general we recommend purchasing small gloves if you are in between a size small and medium; or purchasing size medium if you are in between the medium and large size. What ever your decision, rest assured --- if your Wrist Assured™ gloves do not fit to your liking we’ll gladly swap them for another size.
